I think the Ford Transit is fantastic and loved driving the one we rented for a group of friends that went on a trip together. If I ever got a van it would most likely be a Transit. But !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is fantastic

Kinja'd!!!

It makes sense that they’d be converting Fords as well as Chevys, but this is the first one I’ve seen online or in person.

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

That price is still a little eye watering though.

I wouldn’t want to own one, but it could be a nice vacation/road-trip rental

For a 10' tall truck, I thought handling was excellent. You can surprise a lot of other drivers if you get the EcoBoost! You can even tow shit.

Yea, they handle very well for their size. And I found them incredibly easy to maneuver with great vision all around. I haven’t had the pleasure of driving an EcoBoost one, but given how well they get a truck to move I can imagine it would be just as fun in the van.

It’s the rebirth of th e custom van just with less shag carpet. I went to the lake with a friend of mine and his family in their van. I’d never had my own captain’s chair before. The raised roof, indirect lighting, and built in stereo were AMAZING. It was one of the more memorable experiences of my youth.

The best part was the pair of WetBikes he was pulling behind us. We spent the weekend on the lake, learning how to ride. That was my first experience with personal watercraft and the dang thing nearly killed me.

Kinja'd!!!

Tons of fun and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

They were lots of fun and were considerably faster than the equivalent JetSkis of the day. They had two problems. First was porpoising. If you didn’t accelerate properly, the front ski would start bouncing off the water. Eventually, it would hit hard enough to submarine and toss the rider over the bars. It would also maintain enough momentum to run over the rider after the rider hit the water. I experienced this first-hand.

The second was that they were heavy and didn’t jump very well. Jetskiers would gather like flies behind the big boats so they could jump the wake. Being heavy, Wetbikes just couldn’t catch air and landings were really dangerous because of the front ski submarining.

Put together, these spelled the end of the Wetbike.

That’s actually a very solid price. These vans are about $75k new.

That’s what makes the price eye watering...it’s used and “a very solid price”...yet still $50k
